A Brother’s Giving Away Beckyville!

Remember in this post when I said that I’d do a giveaway where the prize would be a copy of this book? Well, I remember saying it. And I’m a man of my word (most of the time). So, holding in with the mission of this blog, (which is to provide exposure, support, and analysis of genre works created by authors of color), I’m going to be giving away a copy of Nicole Sconiers‘ Escape From Beckyville: Tales of Race, Hair and Rage. You want it? Here’s how you can get it:

Leave a comment below explaining why you want to win the book.

That’s it! Simple, huh? Each comment will be assigned a number and then I’ll use random.org to determine the winner (that way, none of you can accuse me of playing favorites. :p) The contest ends October 26, and I’ll announce the winner on October 31 on this blog, so keep reading for the winner!

  2. I came across this book earlier this year during the State of Black SF series and I was already interested in it. It is about two things I love: speculative fiction and hair. Also, it would be great to have another book to review.

  3. I’d like to win this book, not only for competitive reasons (lol) but simply because i love to read. I know we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but i have enough info on it to believe it to be a GREAT READ and that alone excites me. I love supporting the Arts (no matter the genre), solely because MY culture that that I love dearly!
